This shot is very powerful - even more so because it is black and white. I hope our modern world does not let her down.
Fantastic eyes.Great portrait
Great job, one of the best portraits I have ever seen.
In Germany we would say: Awesome! :)
A penetrating stare. Incredible.
Can't help wishing you hadn't blurred her eyebrows quite so much. With her eyes sharp, and her head covering sharp, it seems too unnatural to me that her eyebrows are smudged.
Urban Daisy, as you can see from the original version the actual plane of focus is very thin and lies just behind her eyes. I was able to sharpen her eyes but the eyebrows are further forward and only where they move back towards the plane of focus could I sharpen them - though I didn't, I only applied sharpening to the eyes. I agree they look quite smudgy but it was nothing I did deliberately :)
This photo says so much.
Thank you for your patience, Miles. I generally do look at your original image, but I was too surprised at what I *thought* you had done with processing, this time. :P
This shot came out really nice. Love the eyes.
Very nice portrait! Taken with good hands, and with the 85 -best portrait lens.
