Shot of the dayThe Sun Shines & the Igloo Melts
One of my first thoughts was' clone out the bird' but it adds depth to the space of the sky.

Miles this is my kind of shot, love the feeling of isolation within this, I love it.
one of these days - i want you to take a photo of lainey and i - just like this one -- beautiful...
I like the mood here.. There is a bit of sadness portrayed.
exelent,super composition.Great
The simplicity of this image is astounding. Well done.
Stunning; I love the minimalism! Jono.
Took me a brief moment to realise it was a dog swimming out. Agree with other comments, moody image. And the bird for me makes it. I expect you may even have waited for it to fly into the frame.
Thanks everyone! I did wait for birds to enter the frame, I actually cloned a couple of out who were refusing to comply with my composition.
I think your lone bird produces a perfect degree of tension between the subjects. The b & w, and the texture, add tonnes of atmosphere. This would be one of my favourites, Miles.
I like the smoothness, isolation and tenderness of your picture. Bravo!
Where is it? It seems to be somewher in Arctic, but I see that it is a beach, fantastic picture.
