I don't know if it is the same the world over, but the further you go into the country, here, the more creative people are with their letterbox art. Some are quite amazing.
We have come to photograph many while driving, as the Chicklette keeps a collection of such images.
bluestockings, this was taken on an island just across the lake from downtown Toronto. It's inhabited by creative types and dressed with sculptures and quirky furniture. It's a great place to quickly get away from city life.
