Faces in the crowd. From Saturday's protest against the proroguing of the Canadian Parliament.

In your series you always manage to make individual people stand out so well from the croud. Really strong!

Very good stuff you have here.
The first one reminds me of a series of portraits you did a while back, which I think I recall you won an award for? Very striking.
I like these too, great finds and captures!
Great candids! That first guy's expression is beautifully caught.
I really enjoy the pictures you shoot, do you post-process or is the DOF made by your lenses?
well done mate. really love the detail in the guy's face in the first image. curve tool?
Thanks! bluestockings, it was a Canadian press nomination but I lost to some professional, pfft ;) Philip, the dof is all real, I use fast lenses on a full frame camera and look for opportunities to isolate people. Brooks, generally I either use the curve tool or blend layers using "soft light" or "overlay". It's a bit like dodging and burning. Sort of.
Ah, I will amend the memory to "should have won an award for" ;)
very realistic,super shots,details are exelent
I'm particularly drawn to the first image.

I have recently started doing a lot of curves adjustments on eyes with masking...but now I am afraid I will use it too often. Do you have resist the temptation sometimes?
