Aids Statue - Canon 20d w/17-40

This is the AIDS monument in Toronto, a twist on the classic 'LOVE' statue. There was a major AIDS conference in Toronto last month and the prime minister Stephen Harper didn't show up, hence the angry graffiti.

A blink of the sun on the top of the statue, is it real or photoshopped?

Nice shot. I like the sun and sky, I would have probably cropped it square, losing some of the bottom half.

Thijs, the flare is real, it's not something I would photoshop in! The picture was taken from close to the ground, without looking through the viewfinder, so I just got lucky with it1

Kezza, thanks, you can tell from my pictures here that I think in square mode a lot and probably would have cropped this. In this case though the graffiti at the bottom is the main reason I wanted the shot.

This is a really cool shot, The lighting and perspective is great, and it's nice to see graffiti that actually says something real.

Great perspective and the flare has worked great. Question - did you add the vignetting or is it because you were at the widest focal length of your lens?

Beautiful capture. I love the highlight and saturation of the sky. And the grafitti just adds subtext- love it!
