Wellenflieger (Shoe Flinger) - canon 20d w/85mm

When I was taking shots of the swingers on the wellenflieger this girl's shoe came flying off and landed right in front of me. I was crossing my fingers I had caught the moment and was really happy with this!

I added a little blur in photoshop to the other riders to help pick out the main subject and did a little dodging/burning as well.

Seriously...You never stop amazing me with your photos and I just couldn't help but comment on this one. Of all the shots you have captured and posted on here this is an unexpected treasure that was just literally thrown in your face and you had your camera ready enough to capture the moment...*sigh* I am awaiting more of your shots :)

Super cool work on the processing. And what luck to have captured the one person missing a shoe!

WOW, what a shot, Mute. That's what you call perfect timing. Love the color scheme....and the angle....and the expression.

Definitly one of my favorite photographs. It looks very natural; you didn't over do it in PPing.

Lovely photo. A lots of action and it´s funny that she only has one shoe, so typical! I really like that you put the color on her so she is in the focus.

For the atmosphere I prefer the yesterday picture but this one is unique for timing.
    Great.

I think the timing on this one was great - excellent opportunity for an image, and I think you executed well. I'm going to buck the photoblog trend, and actually be somewhat critical, though. I think the blurring is maybe a bit too obvious. Now, I haven't seen the original, so it's possible that it was necessary, but I think the blur just makes this look wrong somehow.

Perfect timing! Really outstanding. Did you fire a burst or were you lucky/focused enough to catch this with a single frame?

Great moment to capture. However, it's too bad that the shoe wasn't just a tiny bit lower to make it stand out a bit more--i didn't even notice it until I read your description. Great shot.

Really great photo - and some good work in photoshop to bring out the main subject. Wonderful (or lucky?!) timing to get the shoe just falling off.
