Shot of the dayWorksongs
Miles, this is a stunning b&w shot. The single person adds a lot to the atmosphere.
very good composition :) b&w makes the shot better !
The radiating brick pattern pulls you into the image.
Small figure is nice. :-)
Nice POV like the Mood here .. well done :)
stunning dynamic range, the dark figure makes the shot.
I love the angle to this shot - Nice indeed.
Striking b&w Miles.
I like very much when you show these pictures of stately Homes. I hope very much to see some of thwem when I come to England next year to study!
This is a fantastic b&w, the tones are so strong. Beautiful work.
Tania -- This was once a stately home, but it's now the home of the law school of a university here in Toronto, Canada. It's in the middle of downtown Toronto.
Miles -- It's a great interpretation of Osgoode.
i don't know exactly why but this one gives me a little vertigo...:-)
nice.. I love how the bricks on the ground and light are sort of centered.. the contrast in the buildings.. the black and white.. the person standing there.. great, great shot.
Wow, this shot is amazing - the quality is superb. What lens did you use?
this is a very beautiful and classic shot.
As a view of the previous visitors have already mentioned the person gives the shot an added dimension. Not there it just would have not been the same. Interesting observation for me as I spend much time framing shots to exclude people.
Two things I really like here... the sky is really dramatic, and the brick pattern and strategic hot spot in the central area are really alluring. Nicely done!
Great, classical b&w shot. I like the angle very much. And the person appears to be just where it should be.
What I like the most is the effect caused by the circle of cobblestone creating depth and speed as some kind of black hole or whirl sucking this person and the viewer against the building.
Excellent work. The composition draws your eye into the picture.

outstanding image, the brick pattern seems to bring it all together.
Great shot, love the black and white and I think it works great with the sky (looks a little infrared)
for me tho the person definitally makes the shot ;)
This is just amazing.
Absolutely fantastic b&w. Did you use the channel mixer, or do you have any great filters? Just perfect!
