Tania -- This was once a stately home, but it's now the home of the law school of a university here in Toronto, Canada. It's in the middle of downtown Toronto.
nice.. I love how the bricks on the ground and light are sort of centered.. the contrast in the buildings.. the black and white.. the person standing there.. great, great shot.
As a view of the previous visitors have already mentioned the person gives the shot an added dimension. Not there it just would have not been the same. Interesting observation for me as I spend much time framing shots to exclude people.
Two things I really like here... the sky is really dramatic, and the brick pattern and strategic hot spot in the central area are really alluring. Nicely done!
What I like the most is the effect caused by the circle of cobblestone creating depth and speed as some kind of black hole or whirl sucking this person and the viewer against the building.

Miles, this is a stunning b&w shot. The single person adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic b&w. Did you use the channel mixer, or do you have any great filters? Just perfect!
