hell yea!!! LOVE that greenish tones and the gull!
i'll give another hell yeah!! awesome colours, like it a lot mute.
Amazing shot! The bird is the cherry on the pie :-)
Love those colors, the bird really makes the picture, I bet you waited a while for that one ;)
Very impressive !
Almost looks like a computerized image of a future architectural project !
Nice one :)
Wow, the corner vignetting is a nice touch here. The muted colors and those curved buildings are really cool looking. Almost has an "artist's rendering" feel to it. Yep, the bird and fountain are a nice bonus to the shot! :-)
Wow ! Amazing !
Love the colors... this sky is incredible !
Love the composition with the fountain and the bird, too... I'm wondering how you're getting the city hall to stand out like this.
another perfect bird shot.. I like the Canadian flag in the background.. great capture. :o)
Wonderful shot and great capture...The town and the wild life...
The tones are perfect, and it's as if you hired the bird just for that shot ;-)
Terrific capture. The lighting and colors are wonderful, as usual.
Beautiful colors, and great shot!
WOW! How exactly did you get that great burnt-out halo effect around the building? Photoshop?
great! love it!
what?!?!? Dude, come on. This is too good to be true, how'd you do it? : )
Thanks everyone :)
This was an exercise for me, trying to capture a common subject in a way that looks 'illustrative'. I waited a while and took a few shots before I got the bird in the scene in a nice place.
Two curves adjustment layers were all that were needed for the colour treatment and beyond that I used a duplicate layer set to 'multiply' to create the vignetting.
Great image that really grabs the eye. I'm tor on the building halo; it's cool in one respect, but I think it would have been just as strong without the glow.
I like the isolation-- for such a pretty day the fountain area is empty of people: just you and the bird.
That is a great scene, one that is very satisfying to admire.
wow, what a captured moment. not to mention the colors. amazing!
good capture :) How long were you waiting to get this one!!
A stunning shot withe the bird frozen in time. The vignette frame the picture really well. Thank you for the "Shot of the day", I appreciate it very much.
Damn, you are a master with getting the seagulls flying through you exposures. How do you do :-)
oh nice, thats remind me one similar on this theme I capted in Redwood City
The bird really makes it for me!
Fabulous timing here! You know, every time I see this building in a photograph, time feels skewed. I find it, strangely, a timeless building, showing a mix of modern and old... Probably only cause I'm not seeing it from up close. I get the sense the feeling there is similar to the "Big-O" in Montreal - nice from far, but far from nice. ;)
Damn good timing!
Stunningly illustrative - if that means anything. Powerful image, and really slick post processing.
Fantastic shot. Is it slightly HDR or just a polarizer?
love the bird
The colours in this are fantastic and the capture with the bird in it really does it for me. Nice shot.
PERFECT TIMING! and great composition generally.
wow, this is a stunning shot and that seagull just makes it outstanding!!
cool. You must have waited a bit...well! maybe not. There are tons of seagul there...they're ugly I don't like city birds.
So, now I have to ask, on the heels of viewing your alley shot manipulation... was the bird in the original shot or photoshopped in later for effect?
ya I like the shot except for the halo- too fake.
