There is some definite power in the bottom shot. The way the light is coming in, showing off his beard but not letting you glimpse more of his eyes. Great shots.
it makes me feel
Powerful images...just powerful...you can feel the years on him. The B&W adds more depth to the photos. Well done! Share the story!
hi there, was jus surfing about and chanced upon your pics. i love them. there's jus so much emotion esp from the bottom shot. fantastic!
Great detail in the beard. seems like tricky lighting, but you pulled it off.
While I feel that these are both great, emotive portraits, I also think that the bottom one is so much stronger and would be better as a stand alone.
What a beautiful portrait of the "experience"...
Wel done portraits. like the 2nd one the best, but keep on feeling he weres two pair of glasses when i look to the right eye.
Timeless, classic portraits. Work for me to aspire to.
Gotta love the character of the top one (I find it to be the stronger one). While I find it a little dark, I think the muted contrast really works to your advantage.
lovely exposure on the first
Great portraits, love the b/w process you gave them.
i really like the rich b&w conversion.
I disagree with photosapience - i prefer the top one because of the eyes. These are really great portraits.
Lovely potraits and the b&w conversion is 10/10
I like the second portrait better than the first but they are both stunning. Perfect exposures and interesting composition. I bet this man has many stories to tell.
I love the density and weight of the shadows in these portraits. Marvellous work.
Utterly brilliant portraits. They go well together, glad you posted both together :)
Great set of portraits BW perfect
The bottom shot is incredible. The tones are perfect.
The light on the bottom picture is amazing and I think that its much better than the top one. But then I can see why you chose to post them both ;)
