Cool. I've always tried to make some pictures inside a bus, but trying to get an interesting perspective is hard when everybody is looking at you like you were mad or something...
I have to agree, the angle makes it. Reminds me that I need to force myself to move around a bit more when taking my own shots.. I'm undecided as to whether the condo towers through the windows help or hinder this. I'm wondering what it would have looked like if the windows had been overexposed (probably would feel a little more surreal). Then again, I'm just nitpicking a really nice image. :)
Oh wow! So much to see here and all fitting the "despair-ish" theme. The solitude of the single rider, his bag, and both sitting under that sign of "Have a complaint?" Great shot!
That Low angle is IT. that' the IT factor right there. Amazin shot...even the fact that the old man is looking outside makes it really interstin and the final touch of B&W.
Nice work
Wow ! Very nice contrast on this one ! Is it an HDR shot, actually ?
Love the angle, too !

Thanks everyone :)
Albedo, it's not HDR, I did some dodging and burning to bring out the area under the chair so you could see his feet and the 'no frills' bag. Rather than use the dodging/burning tools in photoshop I prefer to create 'multiply' or 'screen' layers and selectively mask them.
I caught the bus this morning so I could have a few largers this afternoon with my cousin. It definitely did not look like this! Love the processing and excellent angle. Any strange looks while capturing it?
I definitely would have been too self-conscious to take this shot. even with no one on the bus, I would have thought the driver was looking at me funny for crouching down (or however you got the angle). Nice Job.
An all round great shot. The point of view is excellent, with the floor and repetition of the chairs and rails leading the eye to the front. I also love the patterns of the tall buildings outside the bus. Great work as always :)
Love it! Excellent tonal balance and contrast. Are you on the floor? Like someone above mentioned, I would have been too self-conscious -- something I need to get over if it's keeping me from shots like this.
Also, thanks for swinging by my site. When people leave me comments, it gives me a great opportunity to check out their work. Glad I got the opportunity to see yours!

Very nice indeed. Love the angle, the lighting and the fact that there is just one man in the streetcar. Pretty cool

Superb B&W and great choice on POV to cath the buildings and the gritty bus floor.

Great shot, while I love the persepective, and the atmosphere of the inside of the bus, I think its the outside buildings that really make it for me

Fantastic shot. The angle is terrific and the textures of the floor, the seat backs, and his socks really stand out.
