Very nicely chosen perspective for this shot. Although you look across the floorboard lines, I think that helps to add to the sense of I cannot spend too much time here.

miles, one of my favorite shots of yours.

what impresses me the most is that you have made so much out of so little, a feat not easily obtained. I really enjoy looking at this image.

    bravo

A damn fine twist on the classic abandoned chair shot. I really like the composition and colors here.

I like the simplicity here and the somewhat subdued colors. The chair as well as the walls evokes abandonment, loneliness, familiarity and yearning.

    Nice capture indeed!

Very nice shot, Miles. I especially like the decay and texture in the wall and the blue color of the floor. This photo has a very nice mood to it. It's also neat how the curves of the chair is repeated in the curve on the wall and again on the window sill.

it's like visual poetry. Line, texture, color, and a nd light all reinforce the story it tells the viewer. I know I probably sound like an art critic at this point, but hey - it's a hell of a shot.

Everything is perfekt - colors, light, textures, perspective and DOF. And it's the mood resulting from this excellent composition that makes it extraordinary. It makes me think of words like nostalgia, melancholy, abandonment... I agree with Ed: this is poetry, sad and beautiful.

Tones and subject compliment one another beautifully. Love the angle at which you shot it, too, as if you were sitting in another such chair.
