I was going for a 'Strangers on a Train' Hitchcock fairground vibe. I was really feeling something nostalgic but creepy there, the perfect mood for the fair!
wow, this is a very excellent shot. i just love the composition and the contrast. the look of the clouds as well i can't congratulate you enough on this one. great work.
Yes I think you got the Hitchcock feel. Nostalgic for the antique of the carousel, and creepy (more like full of "suspense") because of the dramatic sky.
I want to compile a gallery of funny faces. Would you like to submit a picture?
Here's my idea:
You send me a picture of a funny face. This must either be your own face, or taken by you (of someone you know). I will then post a gallery of all the funny faces on my blog, along with links to each of the bloggers' sites.
You up for it? If so, e-mail the picture, along with the blog address you want me to link to, to eddykins@mejc.demon.co.uk
sweet tones in this image. i've always loved these type of shots, which is why i guess i took the same shot earlier this week. funny, as i just posted the same cross processed image myself, but your bw is stunning.
i love this. and it's interesting to see how people do this cos the way i woulda done it is to tilt it a bit more and frame it so that the merry go round takes up more of the frame to give it a more un-balanced feel... great great shot. i never thought this could be adequately featured in black and white but this is amazing.
Awesome shot. The way you composed it, is perfect, with the white cloud giving the perfect separation from the sky right above the ride. You achieved an excelent tonal range in post processing.
