~gimmie contrast, deep dark wicked contrast! I/eye really like the POV you took and the slice of this old truck as presented...oh, and of course I/eye dig that contrast level~
I absolutely love this shot and everytime I see similar shots, it makes me wish I lived near farms or locations where there are a lot of old cars. Living in NYC, you don't see too much of this, but I will keep trying!
Its amazing how perspective is so difficult. For some reason I find it difficult to photograph the outside of the car. A couple of weeks ago I took about 50 pictures of the outside of an old car, and not one of the was worth a darn. The perspective in each shot was off, and yet when I look at this photo the perspective instantly screams "great picture". All I came away from my shoot was this:
This truck looks as if it has been painted with a goopy mixture of lead and gold with a thick, horsehair brush. Magnificent tones and texture. The cropping is just right, as well.
The old photo was good, but this one is even better. The B&W really renders justice to the texture of the paint and the harmonious curves of this old truck.
I like the older image, but I like this one even better. This one strikes me as more original, and the lines and contrasts are harder and more dramatic.

Wonderful Image. Love the contrast and tonal separation in the paint.
They haven't hauled it away have they? Gentrification of the Distillery District happened quickly. I wouldn't mind doing a different take on this myself/

Great textures in this shot. I'm going to go check out your other one. Old knackered cars are so cool, especially in your photographs.

Very cool. You've heard it before, but the tone is terrific.
It almost looks solarized.
Well done, as always.

This is sweet, nice textures and a nice tight framing, really enjoyed this shot. It's like a portrait, but of a car! :)
