Wowza. Colours are great here as the tree and ground are virtually identical.. One of my favourites so far I'd have to say.

Thanks! I did do quite a bit of post on this, similar to the last tree pic I put up but less drastic. I blurred the foreground and the sky, then tried to pick out the tree so it seems to be standing out. I like it a lot, bar a little curves the colours haven't been changed at all, it's a beautiful time of year here right now.

Andrew: when you only have a compact digital to hand you don't have a lot of choice! I'll have to consider myself a photographic impressionist rather than a photographer.
Nice image. To me the sky holds more interest than the foreground. If it were me I'd crop the for ground out with the exception of about a half inch (relative to the image) from the base of the tree. Or perhaps use a gradient in the foreground ...
