Push Chair

2004-10-08: I posted this image a couple of weeks ago, but took it down, so if it seems familiar, that's why. I won an ebay auction today, my first! I am now awaiting delivery of a yashica mat 124g! Can't wait :)

markittymark: It's a twin lens reflex camera (TLR), here's a pic,

They were fairly low-end models in their time, copies of a more expensive camera, but they're a great way to get into medium format photography and I love the images it produces.

Congrats on the new camera. Was I influential in your purchasing choice :)
I'm hooked on my Holga right now, while the Yashika is gathering dust. I'm looking forward to seeing the results once you have it. Do you have a light metre yet?

haha, yes you were, I've loved the mat shots on your site, the highgate shots you took in london are great.

It's a look I love and I'm hoping the mat will give it to me but I suspect there's a bit more to it than that ;)

oh, and I do have an old light meter, though I'm not sure how accurate it is, but the 124g should have a light meter built in, though it's the first thing to break I hear!

You're right. My Yashika is an older model that doesn't have a light meter. The face plate is also missing of mine, so I can't even tell which Mat Yashika it is.
