Taxi Driver - Canon G5

2004-08-10: Taxi driver triplet. I saw 'collateral' last night and really enjoyed it, nobody paints LA like Michael Mann. He uses a digital film with a lot of grain on it and while I was on my way to a meeting today I thought I'd have some fun 'emulating' that by setting my camera to a high ISO I knew the image would have a lot of grain. Today I get my first Holga prints back! Really excited to see what came out.

You liked that movie? I thought it wasn't as good as they expected. It was too long, some parts with bad acting, and the usual 'good guy wins in the end and gets the girl' plot..

I'm still waiting for a movie that I can say is a "good movie" .. There haven't been any of those lately.

Reminds me of TimeCode. Maybe Tri-Code.

miklos: 90% of the film was about the way it looked for me, I love the way Michael Mann portrays LA.

photojunkie: thanks, and thanks for the link!

ctranter: I've only ventured with 120 film at the moment, I've put 4 rolls through it so far, might try some 35mm but I like the vignette you get on the holga and the 35mm crops that out.

    Cheers kendall, I think you're right :)
