Overnight at the ACC - Canon 5d w/17-40

The Air Canada Center in Toronto hosts a variety of sports and events throughout the year, often switching from one sport to another overnight. These transformations are achieved by a great crew who work from dusk til dawn so that fans can come to watch ice hockey one day and basketball the next.

Christopher Drost and I spent a night at the ACC with several cameras to create a time-lapse video of a typical ice to court conversion for Torontoist. Writer Stephen Michalowicz was with us; read his article, 'From Ice Rink to Basketball Court at the ACC', on Torontoist.

The changeover took about eight hours, starting after a Leafs game and ending around 6am. We used various Canon cameras and lenses in different positions, moving around the stadium floor or clamped high up for a wide view.
